Usage

After activating your plugin, you have to enter your business’s details in the Edit Location screen, located under the Local SEO menu. Make sure all recommended fields are properly filled out, then Publish your location info.

Once your location info is saved, our plugin will place your location info (in the form of JSON-LD) in the head of every page on your site to let Google know that your site belongs to your location, providing rich results in search engine results pages.

You can also use a variety of Shortcodes to print your contact info within your website. See the table below for details.

Shortcodes

[local_seo_info_full]Displays all information that you have entered in the Edit Location menu. You can change the layout of this shortcode’s output, see “Formatting” below.
[local_seo_info_contact_only]Displays your contact info, including your company name, address, phone numbers, and email address, You can change the layout of your address to match your locale, see “Formatting” below.
[local_seo_info_hours_only]Displays your hours of operation.
[local_seo_info_social_media_only]Displays your social media links as icons.
[local_seo_info_map_only]Displays your embedded Google Maps map. Note that for ideal results, you should have a verified Google Places account that shares the exact same address you entered into your location details.
[local_seo_info_logo_only]Displays your company logo.
[local_seo_info_image_only]Displays the company image you entered in your location details.

Formatting

To change formatting options, nagivate to the Local SEO -> Settings page. From here there will be two text boxes where you can change how your address is formatted, and how the full shortcode is formatted.

To format your address, you can use HTML to lay out the fields specified: {street-address}, {city}, {state}, {postal-code}, and {country}. If you leave a field off, it will not be printed in the shortcode. You can use this to change the default address layout from a typical “American” format to something that more suits your locale. The example given below the box is exactly what this plugin uses by default to lay your address out.

To format the full shortcode, the same deal applies. You can use the following fields: {contact-info}, {hours}, {logo}, {image}, {social-media}, and {map}. If you leave a field off, it will not be printed in the shortcode. You can use this to change the default behavior of the full shortcode output, such as not printing the logo or the image on your contact page without having to manually lay out the individual shortcodes on your contact page. The example given below the box is exactly what this plugin uses by default to lay the shortcode output out.

For an advanced take, you can also use these formatting options to inject additional content mixed in with your contact information. Additional images, additional text content, additional points of contact, etc.
